Most Common Question About Counseling Sessions



  • How Long Are Sessions?

    A standard session is forty-five minutes long, however, depending on your insurance it can run longer. If sessions are needing to be extended, it will need to be addressed prior to scheduling the session.

  • How Often Will We Meet?

    After your first session, we will discuss how often you will need to attend sessions. Many clients either come once a week, bi-weekly or an as-needed basis. Sessions may be scheduled more than once a week, however, it depends on what your insurance can cover.

  • Is Therapy For Me?

    Counseling and therapy sessions are a great way to help you process how you deal with a variety of life stresses or issues. Individuals, families, and couples learn more about themselves and others during the process. Through therapy, it can reveal what changes need to be made in an individuals' life , if any. We encourage you to keep up with therapy sessions in order to see a result.

  • Do You Accept Insurance

    We accept most insurance plans. Our office will verify the benefits your insurance policy provides and inform you of plans and deductibles, co-pays and expenses. Your insurance coverage will be verified before any services are rendered.

  • Is Therapy Confidential?

    Counseling and therapy sessions are confidential unless legal issues are brought up e.g., child abuse or elder abuse that we are legally mandated to report. In most cases, the therapy session is between the client and the therapist. Our counselors are not allowed to speak to anyone about the treatments and sessions that are taking place, or even verify that an individual is a patient.

  • How We Are Handling COVID-19

    During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have began to offer telehealth as a way to keep our patients as well as our staff safe.  We are using a HIPPA compliant platform to help in keeping information safe and as private as possible. If you need to stop by the office for anything be sure to call and let the receptionist know you are here. To minimize the amount of traffic within the building  the doors are locked but someone is available Monday thru Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm in office to assist you.
